Valerie Kent


Valerie’s yoga mission is to help you feel at home in your own body. As a legal eagle turned yoga mama Valerie has led a varied career & life. As a practitioner for over a decade, a teacher for over 6 years & a mama of 2, Valerie strives to live the teachings of yoga in every aspect of her life. She stumbled across Yoga in college and has found herself exploring this path ever since. While working as a lawyer she completed her first RYT200 hatha yoga teacher training in 2012. She went on to complete trainings in yin yoga, core strength vinyasa yoga, pre-natal yoga (while pregnant with her son) and Katonah yoga.
Her yoga journey has led her to study with renowned yoga & bodywork educators including Liz Koch, Josh Summers, Tiffany Cruickshank, Sadie Nardini, Amy Ippoliti, Jason Crandell and most recently Abbie Galvin & Alex Sharry of the Studio NYC. Valerie ultimately left the legal world to concentrate her efforts fully on teaching specialising in one to one yoga tuition, small classes & workshops, Valerie’s teaching is engaging, nuanced & challenging yet accessible and always adapted to real life.
